The 11th Annual Summit of China Green Companies 2018

From April 22 to 24, The 11th Annual Summit of China Green Companies 2018, supported by Tianjin People’s Government, organized by China Entrepreneur Club, and co-organized by Tianjin Binhai New Area People’s Government, is held in Tianjin. Initiated by China Entrepreneur Club, China Green Carbon Foundation and Lao Niu Foundation joined forces to help Annual Summit of China Green Companies become carbon neutralization summit for 8 consecutive years. In the “Summit with Zero Carbon Emissions Awarding Ceremony” held on the afternoon of April 22, Du Yongsheng represented China Green Carbon Foundation to accept the donation check from An Yaqiang, representative of our Foundation; and he awarded Ma Weihua, President of China Entrepreneur Club and representative of the summit organizer, the “Annual Summit of China Green Companies 2018 Carbon Neutralization Summit” plaque. According to 2018 Annual Summit of China Green Companies Carbon Neutralization Report, this summit would emit a total of 201 tons of carbon dioxide equivalence of greenhouse gases. China Green Carbon Foundation would use 230,000 yuan of Lao Niu Foundation’s donation to build 54 mu of carbon sequestration forest to absorb all the carbon emissions from this summit in the next 15 years, achieving the goal of “summit with zero carbon emissions”.

Du Yongsheng said that through the Annual Summit of China Green Companies platform over the past 8 years, China Green Carbon Foundation cooperated closely with China Entrepreneur Club and Lao Niu Foundation to achieve Annual Summit of China Green Companies to become a carbon neutralization summit for 8 consecutive years, having afforested 456 mu, planted more than 40,000 Pinus sylvestris var. mongolicas, and offset 1,204.7 tons of carbon emissions. Creating a carbon sequestration forest to achieve “summit with zero carbon emissions” was an innovation that met the theme of the summit and the trend of times, it was not only pioneering practice but also a model for low-carbon green public benefit advocacy. It was believed that this charity act would continue to lead the trend of global low-carbon conferences, widely disseminate the concept of green and low carbon, and make new and greater contributions to demonstrating the social responsibilities of Chinese entrepreneurs, charitable organizations and the public, implementing the national goal of combating climate change, and building ecological civilization and beautiful China!
