China Charity Ranking has been yearly prepared and published by China Philanthropy Times since 2004. The ranking list aims at seeking the power of role models and promoting the spirit of modern philanthropy, and collects sample data from companies or individuals with actual annual donation of over 1 million yuan. It is regarded as a loving list of Chinese wealth owners.
On April 25, the 15th (2018) China Charity Ranking was officially released at Beijing Water Cube.
There were a total of 172 philanthropists in the ranking with the donation in 2017 totaling 7.60817 billion yuan and 721 philanthropic enterprises in the ranking with the donation in 2017 totaling 12.07864 billion yuan. In addition, Chinese Foundation Ranking and Chinese Charity Star Ranking were unveiled; and 2017 Blue Book of Philanthropic Donation was announced at the same time, providing comprehensive description of the development of the charity industry in 2017.
On the basis of the rankings, the organizer also commended the annual philanthropists, philanthropic enterprises, foundations, charity projects, and stars.
As the main recipient of large-scale donations and professional executives of charitable projects, the development level of foundations determines the future of Chinese philanthropy. Our Foundation was ranked among top 10 non-public foundations together with Tencent Foundation, HE Foundation, Tsinghua University Education Foundation, Beijing Jingdong Charity Foundation, Ningxia Yanbao Charity Foundation, Oceanwide Foundation, Ai You Foundation, Jack Ma Foundation, and Heren Charitable Foundation. It scored an average of 88 in transparent index and an average of 81.02 in media popularity, and charitable expenditure also exceeded 500 million yuan.

In addition, “Lao Niu Winter Olympic Carbon Sequestration Forest” project (jointly initiated by State Forestry Administration, China Green Carbon Foundation, Lao Niu Foundation, Hebei Provincial Department of Forestry, and Zhangjiakou People’s Government), Ai You Empowerment Community, Perfect Charity Movie Festival of Perfect (China) Co., Ltd., Transfar Harbour of Transfar Foundation, School Education for Children with AIDS of APEPCY, and Funding Education Program of Dream Relay of China Social Welfare Foundation were awarded Annual Charity Projects.
