[Kids+365 Plan ] Caring for Children with Autism – 2018 CNCC “Kids+365 Plan” Public Welfare Project

        Editor’s note: “Kids+365 Plan” is that Lao Niu Children’s Exploration Museum , donated by Lao Niu Foundation for construction, provides 365 free “1+1” (i.e., one child and one adult) parent-child tickets to the social organizations caring for impoverished children and families, aiming to arouse the attention of the society to vulnerable groups of children through cooperation with social organizations so that Children’s Museum can benefit vulnerable groups of children with its advanced concepts, provide them with equal opportunities for education, and bring in new elements of early education for entire senses.

        Since the start of this activity in 2016, CNCC Lao Niu Children’s Exploration Museum has accumulatively provided 921 families with vulnerable children with opportunities to explore and experience in Lao Niu Children’s Exploration Museum.

        In April 2018, on the occasion of the 11th “World Autism Awareness Day”, in order to caring more for children with autism, CNCC actively practiced social responsibility, and CNCC Lao Niu Children’s Exploration Museum allied Beijing Disabled Persons Rehabilitation Service Guidance Center , and Beijing Foundation for Disabled Persons to jointly organize children and parents from more than 40 rehabilitation institutions for children with autism to visit the Museum for exploration and experience activities. There were 4 sessions of the visit & experience activity themed “caring for children with autism”, benefiting 120 families. Lao Niu Children’s Exploration Museum’s international advanced education concepts, comfortable and natural early education environment for entire senses, and exhibition items designed for children’s development characteristics of different ages provided equal opportunities for education for families with autistic children and increased their social practice experience – this would play an active role for them to better integrate into social life.


        After the activity ceremony began, Cong Zhongxiao, Party Secretary of the organizer CNCC, made a speech first. Secretary Cong expressed his appreciation to the cooperative organizations for their support for“Kids+365 Plan” project and his care for children with autism. He also expressed that CNCC, as a state-level off-campus institution, would actively implement the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, devote to promoting education equity, helping others and themselves, and try to enable every child to enjoy fair and high-quality education. She called for joint effort of all society to give vulnerable groups of children an open, equal and inclusive environment. Liu Jin, Deputy Director of Beijing Disabled Persons’ Rehabilitation Service and Guidance Center, and Zhang Liang, Secretary-General of Beijing Foundation for Disabled Persons, also gave separate speeches. They affirmed the social value created by “Kids+365 Plan” project since its launch, and also showed that they would always support this project to benefit vulnerable groups of children with the advanced concepts of the Museum.
